In chemistry, a suspension differs from a solution (溶液) in that the solid particles are not dissolved but merely dispersed, and will eventually settle out upon standing (unlike colloids). The mixture appears turbid or cloudy. Examples include limewater (石灰水), muddy water, and paint.
