A traditional carrying vehicle from southern China (e.g., Sichuan, Hunan, Jiangxi), used primarily in mountainous areas where roads were narrow. While functionally similar to a sedan chair (轿子 jiàozi), it has a simpler, lighter bamboo frame and was more common among ordinary people.
